Run TO the Cure
Believing –prayer will heal you, and Jesus will put you on your feet. And if you’ve sinned, you’ll be forgiven-healed inside and out.
James 5:15 (MSG)
I am participating in the Komen Race for the Cure. God knows my heart.
I want to see the faces of these women who have suffered so much because of Breast Cancer. I want to look in their eyes and take them in. They are beautiful and they are strong. I am humbled to be among them.
I want my family to see other families that have suffered the Hard Road, too.
There is strength in numbers.
Most of all, I want to stand for the hopes and promises Jesus gives under every circumstance; the hope of eternal life. When I stand for Him, cancer never wins. My cancer has to count for something greater than cancer. And why would I not want it to count for the Greatest?
I am alive and I want to live for Him; right here, right now!
God’s Word tells us that first we must believe our prayers. Believing our prayers means believing our God. And through those kinds of prayers, we are healed completely because we are completed in Him.
Yes, I want to be healed physically but I know my body will eventually fail. It is not built to last forever. My soul is.
What is better than to know we will stand blameless before The Most High? I want the ultimate healing; forgiven-healing.
I want it for you, too.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”
John 11:25 (NIV)
My pastor often says, “Where else are you going to go?” He’s right.
Offer a believing-prayer acknowledging who He is and what He has done for you on the cross. Confess you sins and ask Him for His forgiven-healing. Welcome Him to live His life fully, in you, so that cancer will only make a difference for His glory.
Lord, You are the Resurrection and the Life. Apart from You I cannot be saved. You took my place, and bore my sins, on the cross. You rose from the dead and are seated at the right Hand of the Father. Lord, I ask that You would forgive me of my sins and live in me, and through me, until You call me home to be with You. Amen.
I pray you Live Like You Know… where you are going.
