You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
It’s happened again…I have come against something I cannot handle; a burden I cannot carry on my own. The longer I live, the more I know that I cannot do anything on my own. Jesus has already told me,
“I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in Him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without Me.”
John 15:5 (HCSB)
Jesus says when I seek Him I will find Him. He is always here. I do not have to go through someone, or some thing, to find Him. The only barrier that exists between me and Jesus is my pride. It is pride when I think I can handle it on my own; when I don’t think I need Him.
Jesus says, “Search Me with all your heart”. He does not want a portion of me – He wants all of me; the whole life that is weak and worn thin. He wants this present, the past, and the future. A soul cannot be divided and neither can perfect love; the One that died on the cross.
And when I find Him I get all of Him, too. In His faithfulness and kindness, He gives me
all of His grace,
all of His mercy,
all of His hopes
all of His promises.
He satisfies the thirsty and feeds the weak. My mind and heart no longer have to wander from here and there, not knowing where to go and what to do when life shifts, because He gives purpose to every situation. My circumstances give me the opportunity to see just how breathtaking He is and how much He loves me. He frees my soul from the things of this world and comforts me in my circumstance. He gives me life and He gives it in abundance.
When you are low and come under the weight of this world, go to the cross. It is there, at His feet, that we can lay our burdens down. Do not be prideful believing that you can do it on your own. Jesus is waiting to meet you where you are, knowing your needs. In your circumstance He will show you the greatness of His love, and things you could never imagine.
Praying you Live Like You Know,
