Have Confidence in God’s Plan for Your Future
Do you doubt what God has planned for your future? At times, I do. I try to imagine what lies ahead and the canvas is blank. The past was easy; childhood, family and work. Retirement age is easy to see, too; time with my husband, grand-loves, serving. It’s the in-between that has my heart racing. What is in the middle; the part that is suspended between the beginning and the end?
In 1 Timothy 1:12 Paul says,
I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me because He considered me faithful, appointing me to ministry.
Here, God’s Word tells us that Jesus has designated a calling on our lives.
The instant Jesus compelled us to trust Him as Lord and Savior, He considered us faithful. And the moment His Spirit took up residence in us, we were called to the fulfilment of God’s purposes for our lives.
Because faith begins with God, our salvation-trust is evidence of God’s existence and His care for those in need. Our ongoing hope is God’s guarantee that He is completing His plan of glory in us.
Ladies, whether you are caring for your family, giving your days to work or school, responding to needs in the church – wherever you find yourself; the plan for your life has been divinely set and purposed in Jesus Christ.
So, my dear friend, have confidence in your future and all that it holds. Trust God with what lies ahead and when you cannot see it, remember your confidence in Jesus is proof that your days have been laid out to be filled with God’s intentions.
Think back to a time when you did not know what your future held.
How did God unfold His plan for the days ahead?
Was God faithful to use that time for His fame?
Does this remembrance give you confidence for your future?
Jesus, help us remember Your loving faithfulness in our past to give us confidence in the days ahead. Strengthen us with Your Spirit and bestow us the faith needed to know our future is wrapped in Your divine purpose and glory.
