What Does God Do With The Strong? He Gives Them A Ministry.
I may not know the details of the days ahead but I know, that whatever I do, Jesus tells me to talk about what He has done in my life. Although the “how” and “where” still need to be discovered, I can be confident and excited about the “why”.
For the past two days, we have been digging into 1 Timothy 1:12
I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me because He considered me faithful, appointing me to ministry.
God, in an act of confidence to our confession of faith, strengthens us and designates us to serve Him. In His infinite knowledge He has planned our lives for this exact time, and this exact place, to proclaim Christ’s salvation. As authorized messengers, we have been sent to speak about our past experiences and the hopes and promises of our future.
My Friends, by grace God has entrusted you with being an active part in His effort to turn people to Him. You are a chosen instrument to proclaim His Name, without limits or boundaries.
We are sinners, saved by grace, considered faithful, and have been invited to participate in the mysteries of God’s work.
This call and plan for our lives should cause our hearts to bow low and ask, “Who am I?”
The faithful (that’s you, my Believing Friend) are appointed to ministry, strengthened by the Spirit, and placed in it by the Son of God.
If you are doubting God’s plans for your future, lay it aside. You are His beloved; planned, created and empowered for every day that lies ahead.
Where has God assigned you to talk about what He has done and what He promises for your future?
Lord, I am praying for Your daughters that are called to ministry by grace. I am overwhelmed by Your plan that overcomes sin and invites us to participate in glory. Give us grateful and humble hearts every time we have an opportunity to share Your mercy and open our eyes to see the limitless opportunities provided to proclaim your salvation. Thank you for calling us faithful and for giving us strength to make a difference for eternity.
