One Woman at a Time
For the vision is yet for the appointed time;
it testifies about the end and will not lie.
Habakkuk 2:3 (HCSB)
I used to be terrified of not knowing what my life-purpose looked like down the road. The time ahead was a glaring canvas and I became paralyzed with fear; afraid there might not be anything worthy of purpose over there.
My past has been full with mama-intentions and make-a-home motivation. Those needs are running low as the ones I love, live the lives I’ve worked so hard for them to have.
Jesus straightened it out. He showed me that canvas wasn’t stark at all. It is bright-hued with mercy I do not deserve, and grace I cannot earn.
It has already been prepared with
strokes of love,
Yours is ready, too.
Jesus has already given us the reality of what we can expect in the days ahead. Oh, we may not know the specifics of what we will do, or how we will do it, but the cloth is set; hemmed in the folds of His garment.
It is ready to receive the details of our lives.
The glimpse of God’s glory in our past testifies to the fullness of His glory ahead. Mama, you know who He is and, with His Word and lead, you know what tomorrow holds.
My Friend, when you know Him, you know where you are going …it is always the Land of Promise.
Beautiful Soul, if you are afraid of what your future holds or how it will unfold, rest in the One who has brought you this far. The Savior of your past will be no less in your days to come.
What frightens you about the days ahead?
Has God been any less when you have been afraid in the past?
How does seeing your future, primed with love, change your perspective for the days to come?
Lord, help us to see that Your love never ends and our purpose is to bring You glory, always. Remind us that You are no less in our future and that all will come in perfect timing and perfect love.
