One Woman at a Time
I desire those You have given Me to be with Me where I am.
Then they will see My glory, which You have given Me
because You loved Me before the world’s foundation.
John 17:24 (HCSB)
My friend has asked me to pray for her baby. This sweet little has an appointment on Friday with a neuro-specialist. I commit to pray for the upcoming consultation; peace, healing, and good news to be heard.
But as I am agreeing, Jesus says, “Tell her I am in the now.”
While we are rightfully asking Jesus for grace on Friday, God reminds me that He is available now. There is nothing there that is not already here. The love and mercy that has authority over Friday, is the same power available at this very moment and every one in between.
I wonder, why do I go ahead and surpass the grace of now? As if Jesus is more on Friday than He is in this exact instant
It is because I forget that He is with me now.
Woe to me who misses God’s presence in the moment. When I miss Him, I’ve missed the best of all that is available.
God wants me to live in true knowledge that His grace is sufficient TODAY. God’s favor, available in this very moment, is so great that it has already covered the days to come. It is longer than beginning to end, It is wider than the greatest extent imaginable, it plunges farther than pit and extends to the highest place; the throne of God.
His boundaries of love and grace and mercy have no end.
I humbly believe that if I could grasp His presence, and wrap my mind around His power, I would be crushed by the weight of love.
My friend, where are you living? Are you living in the now of God, or are you living in the parameters of days; framework created by God, not for Himself, but for man? There is nothing wrong with keeping order in your home, but when you do, do you discount the Christ-power who is in the immediate moment?
Please let me know your thoughts in the “comment” link, above.
Jesus, I want to comprehend the power I walk in today, right now. I want to claim all that you offer, in this moment, because what You extend is more than what is required for all time.
Do you believe that God’s presence transcends the parameters of time?
When you think of God being unlimited, and without constraints, can you believe the grace offered today extends over the days of our future?
