One Woman at a Time
Look, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me.
Isaiah 49:16 (HCSB)
Some days are harder than others. I’ve stared down at those days, from the early morning hours, and the ache of its needs would settle into my bones. I felt stretched and pulled to the point of being transparent; withered before it even began.
Jesus has calmed me saying, “You, and your day, are in the palm of my hand.”
Can you close your eyes and imagine yourself in His palm; the inner surface that lies between the furthest extension of His reach?
His hand; the One
That stretched down from heaven and grabbed your soul.
That is the offering that was nailed to that tree.
We are walking in pleats of grace; grace that doubles upon itself and is pressed into place. We are folded in the walls of kindness and never spinning out of control.
We are safe. Always safe.
There is not one day, not even this one, that is not tucked in love because you are in the hand of God.
Are you daunted by the day and all it requires? Close your eyes, see yourself in the Master’s hand, and let the knowledge of His covering soak your soul.
What happens to your anxiety, about the day’s needs, when you spend time alone with God?
Can you visualize your day grounded in the very hand of God? How does this help?
Lord, quiet our hearts and minds to the knowledge of the Your sovereign hand; the One that encloses us on every side. Remind us that all of our days are carved deep in Your offering and protected by Your sacrifice. Tuck us deep in Your folds of love and give us a calm that glorifies You.
