~One Woman at a Time~
Hello Beautiful Sparrows! I pray you know your blessings today and that this speaks life to you.
I have recently had a situation where I did not do my best, and it showed. A sick feeling, that I could not shake, settled in my stomach. And then the mind started, “You did not do a good enough job.” “You let others down.” Down the rabbit hole I went.
What I needed was peace.
Peace …even the word brings calm; an emotion of trust.
I am quick to speak this Word over others but I am not so used to speaking it over myself. I pray for those I love, “Jesus, please give my friend peace” but it is not always my first response to me.
The peace that God is talking about in Galatians is the peace of justification.
You see, God has made peace with you, His daughter, through His Son, Jesus Christ. You have already been agreed upon, settled, and brought into harmony with Him.
Jesus has settled it all.
God wants that sick feeling to provoke thoughts of peace when we’re on the edge of the rabbit hole. He wants us to trust that mercy has been enough to cover our lack and He wants us to move forward.
There is no failure, no sin, and no short-coming that is greater than the agreement made for you.
So, when you are feeling like you have missed the mark, remember that Jesus has already established Himself over it, and even created a good purpose out of it. If Jesus has forgiven you, shouldn’t you forgive yourself?
Speak the Savior’s harmony of reconciliation over yourself today and receive the peace that He has finalized for you.
Jesus, help me to speak words of peace over myself when I begin to be critical of my actions. Provoke me to remember that You came so I might live in unity with Your reconciliation. Amen.
Are you wrestling with something you have, or have not, done?
If so, close your eyes and remember the agreement Jesus made for you and walk forward in peace.
Would you consider joining me, and other beautiful sparrows, at the online community group, One Woman at a Time?
I pray you Live Like You Know …where you are going.
