~ Devotions to Encourage Your God-Purpose ~
I spend a lot of time praying about my God-purpose. What does it look like? Where do I start? It is easy to imagine it is always in the future, around the corner, up ahead.
I am a visionary and sometimes this means I look past the present moment toward what’s next. I am learning to wait on God, not get ahead, and value the purpose of exactly where I am. It can be difficult in the day in, day out; when the mundane and simple tasks make us weary and it seems as though nothing will ever change..
In this Scripture, Jesus tells us He has given us purpose in the right here, right now. We are handed the business of giving Him glory no matter where we find ourselves; at work, school, alone, online, or with our families and friends.
I can be about God-purpose every moment of every day.
When I am with my family and friends, I can point them toward Him. When I am at work I can speak of the God-experiences He’s given and the credit He deserves, when I am online I can give a word hope and encouragement to those who need to know He is with them, and when I am alone I can acknowledge His presence, pray and worship.
There is no where I can go that He is not due. He is worthy of honor and praise in every moment of every circumstance.
I am dreaming big things with God for the women He loves. I am asking Him to bless them with His favor and give them the desires of their hearts. I am praying this for me, and I am praying it for you. But as I go through my day, I realize there is a big task right at hand and it’s the business of being focused on magnifying Jesus right where I am.
Your life is sustained by the power of Jesus Christ – every moment of every day. There are no accidents, no coincidences and no happen stance. Each moment has been provided, provoked and positioned by the mighty hand of God so you can breathe Him in, and breathe Him out. And when we understand this Truth, we understand the work has been given, and we become purposed right where we are.
Jesus, I pray that you would remind me that wherever I am, my purpose is to give You glory. I do not have to look further than where I am right now. Prompt my heart with Your Spirit and cause me to fulfill Your purpose. It is in the Name of Jesus I pray.
Are you wondering what God is purposing in you right now? If so, breathe out a word of praise, thanksgiving, or credit due and magnify His Name.
